A: An exchange is a secure space for you to exchange files with your Novartis colleagues, in SecureVault.

A: Once you sign in to SecureVault, you will be able to view the exchanges where you are part of. You can click on Exchange name, to access the files and share files.

A: The SecureVault system is to be used only to share files, not for file storage/retention.

A: All the files uploaded to SecureVault exchanges have a purge policy. a) Two years for files that are uploaded to non-clinical exchange (Exchange type - Strictly confidential internal, Strictly confidential external) b) 30 days for files uploaded to Clinical exchanges (Exchange type - LSH, GPS, Manual)

A: You will be assigned a role by the Novartis Manager + user who sent you the SecureVault invitation.

A: The high-level process of file sharing in SecureVault for both types of Exchanges (Clinical and Non-Clinical) is same:

1. Select folder
2. Select file
3. Validate file
4. Start upload
5. Confirm upload

A: The SecureVault system will send the user a reminder email of file deletion (on both clinical (Manual exchange) and non-clinical) 7 days before this configured days (before deleting actual file). That means the deletion reminder will be sent 7 days before the 30 days in clinical exchanges (Manual exchange) and 730 days in non-clinical exchanges from the day the file was uploaded to the system.

A: If Reviewer/Viewer user is not accessing any exchange for more than 60 days, the users access will be removed.

A: First, SecureVault is not a cloud storage solution but sharing solution. File uploaded in the clinical exchanges will be deleted after 30 days and in the non-clinical exchange after 730 days exchanges from the day the file was uploaded to the system.
